John M. Dennis, BA in Music ('41), MA in History ('43). Since graduating from Pacific, John has been teaching, directing educational programs, and/or writing textbooks almost continually: junior high (Music), junior college (English), 32 years at San Francisco University (Language and Linguistics), four years in Greece (English as a Second Language - ESL), incidental assignments in Italy, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Japan (ESL), and 21 years at the Fromm Institute for Lifelong Learning on the University of San Francisco Campus (Poetry; Language and Literature), from which he retired in 2003. John has lived in Mill Valley with his wife Nona (nee Bissell) since 1960. He has three children and four grandchildren.
Janet (Lar Rieu) Pantoja, BA from Covell College ('69). Janet graduated from Covell College but also studied music and performed on cello with the University Symphony Orchestra and Stockton Symphony under Kyung-Soo Won. For 25 years, she performed with a variety of ensembles including the National Symphony of El Salvador, Camellia Symphony (Sacramento, CA), Auburn Symphony (CA), and Camellia String Quartet (northern CA). Now residing in Washington state, Janet performs with the Sammamish Symphony, Special Occasions Strings, and Music Performance Group.
Arthur Lewis, BM, BA, Violin/Viola ('57). Arthur is semi-retired and is living in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a free-lance violist and is a chamber music coach at Emory University. Arthur's wife, Bonnie Pomfret, is Director of Vocal Studies at Emory University and is a founding member of the Emory Voice Center--Emory Healthcare Clinic. Arthur's children include: Mark, who is a lawyer/house husband (Denver); Bert, a fish biologist (Cordova, Alaska); Sarah, a lawyer (Easton, MD); and Cara, who is a violinist, dancer, soccer "enforcer", and reader.

Connie (Neville) Gale, BM, Piano ('64). Connie and husband Phillip ('63) reside in San Diego, where Connie continues a long career as Associate Professor of Music and Humanities at Christian Heritage College. She sings in the San Diego Master Chorale and serves on the El Cajon City Commission on Arts and Culture.
Dorothy Sue Norton Noland, BA in Music ('33) After teaching in Middletown and Antioch public schools, she taught music at Stockton College (Theory and Form/Analysis) as well as lower division music courses at Pacific. She later taught Music History, History of Jazz and Class Piano at American River College in Sacramento until her retirement in 1983. Dorothy.
Ross Price, BM, Bassoon ('51). Ross was a public school teacher for 32 years in both California and Nevada. He retired in 1987 and currently is teaching privately and playing professionally in the Tahoe-Reno-Carson valley area.
