Staff Advisory Council Activities

The Staff Advisory Council sponsors and promotes a variety of programs and events at Pacific to encourage engagement among staff and faculty across campus, and to facilitate opportunities for staff to support the local community we work and live in.

Pacific Career Month Activities

In 2008 the Staff Advisory Council initiatied efforts to organize professional development programming to be offered annually in November, National Career Month.  Since then we have collaborated with Human Resources and Training & Development to bring yearly programming to staff at Pacific to encourage and support their career growth at the Unversity.  In 2011 this collaborative effort will bring Pacific Alumnus Susan Britton Whitcomb (CONS '79) on Friday, November 11th to speak on Creating Career Security:  3 Keys to Striving in the New World of Work.  Susan is a best-selleing careers author, speaker, and founder/CEO of The Academies, Inc. for career and leadership coach training.  Her talk will feature tips from her book 30 Day Job Promotion.

SAC in collaboration with Human Resources and the Career Resource Center have developed a resource for staff to use for staff career path development - visit Your Career Path at Pacific.

Staff and Faculty Winter Celebration
This event, co-sponsored with the Academic Council in December, is a luncheon in which staff and faculty come together to celebrate the holiday season. The event includes delicious lunch, prizes and entertainment. View pictures from the last Winter Celebration.
