Teaching Philosophy
Math is best learned by doing, so I strive to include as much direct work in class as possible, usually small group assignments. Beyond that, I hope to bring math alive for my students by with amazement, beauty, humor, and connections to other fields of study.
Research Interests
I study graph theory-- most people would recognize as the the underlying mathematical structure of networks. Specifically I study variations on interval graphs, competition graphs, and graph coloring.
