Academic Division

Margaret Luu was promoted to associate director of Institutional Research.

Diana Raveica is a new program services assistant in Physician Assistant Studies in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Harmony Matshik Dakafay is a new research assistant in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. 

Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
The search committee is in the process of reviewing candidates to present at campus forums in late April and early May. Look for more information coming soon. This search is chaired by Julie Davies, Professor of Law at McGeorge School of Law.

Business and Finance

Tricia Smith was promoted to senior mail clerk in Pacific Mail Services.

Nicholas Ubick is the new assistant director of environmental health and safety in Enterprise Risk Management.

Development and Alumni Relations

Myrna Acoba-Rapisura, has accepted the new title of advancement services specialist. The new position title reflects enhanced responsibilities.

Judy Nagai

Judy Nagai is the new assistant vice president for development for principal gifts and stewardship. She joins Pacific with more than 20 years in higher education fundraising, most recently as campaign director for Sacramento State University. Other universities she has served include UC Davis, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Stanford University. She earned her bachelor's degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, her Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont and a PhD in Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Amanda Elrod, prospect research analyst in Advancement Services, accepted an employment opportunity with Operating Engineers Local 3 Union. Her last day at Pacific was March 30.

Enrollment Management

Jennifer Slonina is a new financial aid counselor I in the Office of Financial Aid.

Vice President for Enrollment Management
A search committee, chaired by Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Pallavicini, is working closely with the search firm to build a pool of candidates. Learn more about the position and how to apply here.  

External Relations

Lisa Douglass was hired to the new position of community engagement manager. She will report to Community Relations Director Mike Klocke as the university looks to increase its partnerships, programs and interaction with the community. Her past experience includes positions as career readiness Director for Benicia Unified School District, vice president for external relations for the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities, and director of community relations for St. Mary's College in Morage.  

Pacific Technology

Frances Hattner is the new Project Management Office director. Karie Hearn is a new administrative assistant II. 

Shawn Kerns was promoted to systems administrator II in Systems Engineering. 

Kevin Lemoine is a new Help Desk manager in the Customer Support Center. 

Donald Nevis was promoted to engineer III in Digital Media Technology Services.

Student Life

Shaun Billingsley is a new campus service officer in Public Safety on the Sacramento Campus.

William Gnagy is a new public safety officer in the Sacramento Campus Public Safety Office.

Misael Alvarado Orozco is the new program support specialist in Intercultural Student Success.

President's Division

Nefretiri Cooley-BroughtonNefretiri Cooley-Broughton is the new executive director of Marketing and Communications in the Office of Marketing and Communications. Cooley-Broughton has 25 years of marketing communications experience, 11 years at UC Davis, where she served most recently as the executive director of UC Davif Student Affairs Marketing and Communications. While there, she co-led the 2015 launch of UC Davis' award-winning first comprehensive sexual violence education and awareness campaign, which focused on upstander intervention and affirmative consent.  She also has served as press secretary for Families USA Foundation in Washington, D.C., and as communications director for the Faculty Association for California Community Colleges in Sacramento. 

Search continues for Faculty Athletic Representative
President Eibeck is seeking members of the Stockton faculty to apply for the position of Faculty Athletic Representative. Louise Stark will conclude her service in this role at the end of the spring semester. For more information on the duties and how to apply, visit the FAR SharePoint site.
