Drone Pilot 101

This two-hour course will cover the process of becoming a Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) certified Pilot for small, unmanned aircraft (commonly known as a drone). During the course, the instructor will demonstrate the basics of flying a drone.

Course Outcomes 

  1. Students will learn Aircraft Registration process.
  2. Students will learn Operating Limitations of Drone
  3. Students will learn National Airspace System classification.
  4. Students will learn how to interpret a basic METAR report and read a sectional chart.
  5. Students will learn how to apply for FAA Pilot certification.
  6. Students will learn the types of Drones available in the market.
  7. Students will learn most commons features of Drones.
  8. Students will learn the basics of flying a Drone.
  9. Students will learn how to record a video, edit it, and post it online using a Drone.

Course Delivery
Face to face using Learning Management System (LMS). All course materials are uploaded in LMS.
