Do you know the Pool Hours?
Can I bring my friend/relative to the gym?
- Yes, you can! Members of Pacific Recreation can bring a guest member with them with them for $5 Guest Day Pass. A Guest Member (must be 18 years or over) is defined as any person sponsored (in person) by a current member. They are eligible to access any of our facilities and non-fee based programs offered for the remaining duration of operational hours from time of purchase of the one Day Guest Pass. For example, someone who uses the fitness center during the day and access Open Rec at a different facility for that evening.

What happens if I forget my ID when I go to the gym?
- Members have three chances each semester to forget their ID before they are required to have it with them for their next re-entry. If they come in without an ID, we look up their profile by ID number or name and confirm their identity.
Can I reserve equipment in advance? How long can I check it out?
- At this time, we do not have the option to reserve equipment, we may be able to integrate that function into our system in the future. Please see our equipment page for information on pricing and rental duration.
How can I renew my membership online? How about my locker membership?
- If you are a student, faculty or staff who has already purchased your initial Pacific Recreation membership, here is a guide to renewing online through our member portal. How can I watch my favorite show when I workout? What about my streaming provider?
- Our staff can assist you in getting connected to live TV or streaming services such as WatchESPN, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, iHeartRadio and anything found on our Web Browser on the majority of our Precor cardio equipment. Bonus: There is even a USB plug-in to charge cell phones or wireless headsets!
How do I reserve space in the Baun Fitness Center, gym or outdoor field for my organization?
- A reservation request form needs to be completed via our portal with patron Pacific Rec login to use any Pacific Recreation facility including the Baun Fitness Center studios, Gardemeyer or Brookside fields, and Main Gym. Patrons can access the calendar here to see if we currently have an event during the date/time being requested.
How do I register for personal training?

How do I use the fitness equipment at Baun?
- If you are new to our gym and want to learn how to use our equipment, click here to view our video playlist on our selectorized, cardio and other fitness equipment. When you are at the gym, check out our selectorized fitness equipment for a QR code, (scan with a QR reader app or Snapchat camera) to learn how to setup and operate. Or check out the instructional poster near our Bike Shop. Please reach out to a front desk member for any additional assistance!
