International at Pacific

The forces of globalization created modern California.  The Gold Rush drew ambitious dreamers from every continent in an exhilarating rush to build a better world perched on the edge of the Pacific.  The San Francisco, Sacramento and Stockton regions were hubs of internationalization, a legacy that still animates faculty, staff and students at University of the Pacific's three campuses.

At University of the Pacific internationalization means:

  • Creating a more international student population to foster engagement across cultures
  • Supporting a global learning environment in the curriculum and in co-curricular activities
  • Education abroad, including in programs led by Pacific faculty
  • Programming to support intercultural learning and sensitivity across the campus for faculty, staff and students
  • Connecting the three campuses with their communities, the rest of California and the world
