Only two weeks left in 2018 United Way Campaign
We're down to the final two weeks of the 2018 three-campus United Way Campaign at University of the Pacific. A big thank you to the 113 people from the Pacific family who have pledged a total of $38,520 so far in this campaign. We still have a considerable way to go to reach the goals of $125,000 and 500 people giving. Please take the time today to consider a gift.
How to give
Remember, this year, pledges or donations can be made via your cell phone or computer. For details on how to contribute via mobile or online, simply visit the online giving site or text "tigers" to the number 40403 to make your donation. Also, for those who prefer it, paper forms also are available through your department's or unit's United Way Ambassador or Campus Director. Pacific students can give through the online giving platform using their debit or credit cards. They can text the keyword "tigers" to the number 40403 to gain access to the online pledge form.
Remember that pledges can be spread throughout the year via payroll deduction. This option gives you a simple way to budget your charitable giving over the year rather than having to come up with a lump sum at one time. And you can designate the deduction to any 501(c)(3) organization of your choice in any amount that fits your budget.
Prize Drawings
All who have pledged are entered in weekly drawings for gifts. There are three winners this week:
Congratulations to Michael Wurtz of the Stockton Campus library, who will receive season tickets for 2017-18 Pacific women's basketball.
Congratulations to Marc Christiansen of the Dugoni School of Dentistry, who is based in Sacramento. He will receive a $100 credit for the Sacramento Campus bookstore.
Congratulations to Jennifer Geiger of the Conservatory of Music, who is based in San Francisco. She will receive the $100 credit at the bookstore on the San Francisco campus.
There is still one week of drawings for prizes for those who donate to the campaign:
Sacramento
Nov. 20: One $100 credit at the book store on the Sacramento Campus
San Francisco
Nov. 20: One $100 credit at the bookstore on the San Francisco Campus
Stockton
Nov. 20: One "A" Parking pass for the 2018-19 academic year on the Stockton Campus.
Find more information on the Pacific United Way Campaign SharePoint site (log-in required). The campaign will continue through Nov. 28. United Way is an important part of our community outreach efforts for all three campuses. Please consider making a pledge for the 2018 Campaign. Remember you can designate your contribution to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of your choice.
