Parking and traffic advisory for Safe Trick-or-Treat

Oct 20, 2017

The 19th annual Safe Trick-or-Treat will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25, on the Stockton Campus. Upwards of 6,000 costumed children and their families will be trick-or-treating throughout the campus from 4 to 7 p.m.

Members of the Pacific community will hand out candy to children ages 3 to 11 as they pass through campus office buildings and residence halls, followed by a carnival hosted by the university's registered student organizations and athletic teams. This event provides a safe environment for the community and a wonderful opportunity for our campus to connect with area families.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to extend all courtesy to our young campus visitors and are cautioned to take care when leaving campus on Wednesday. The Pacific community can expect departure from central campus to be slow between the hours of 4 and 7 p.m., while Public Safety officers direct traffic to provide for the safety of children and families.

Stagg Way will be closed to inbound traffic at 4 p.m. and will re-open when the event has concluded. Public Safety will also be prepared to close down inbound traffic at Knoles Way as needed to provide for the anticipated crowds in the area of Knoles Lawn and the DeRosa Center.

Questions about the event can be directed to Dave Crafts, director of Student Leadership and Involvement, at 209.946.2106 or by emailing
