Parking advisory for Homecoming week

This year's Homecoming celebration looks to be one of the biggest yet, both in attendance and excitement. More than 1,600 people have already registered to attend. Events will draw both the Pacific and surrounding communities to campus throughout the weekend and parking will be at a premium. The following information will help you be informed of parking and other traffic impact on the Stockton Campus during Homecoming week.

Parking recommendation for faculty and staff attending Homecoming 
To help reduce traffic and parking impact, faculty and staff are encouraged to carpool or walk to work where possible on Friday to help reduce traffic and parking impact. On Saturday, Pacific faculty, staff and students are encouraged to park in outer parking lots or at the Central Methodist Church parking lot (across Pacific Avenue) and take the free shuttles to your destination on campus. (See shuttle information below.)     

From now through Oct. 23, all parking spaces in front of and facing Burns Tower will be blocked off through Monday, Oct. 23, due to event construction and set-up/tear-down and to provide for first-responder vehicles during Homecoming weekend.  

Tuesday, Oct. 17, set-up will begin for a Regents dinner scheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 in the DeRosa University Center Ballroom. Parking will be impacted during the event in Lot 7 behind the fraternities and sororities and around Grace Covell and Hand halls. There will also be a tent erected in the vehicle turnaround area adjacent to the DeRosa Center. No service or other vehicles will be allowed to park in this area through Sunday morning.

Thursday, Oct. 19 through Monday, Oct. 23, the ITA Collegiate Regional Men's Tennis Tournament will be held at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. Parking in Lot 1 adjacent to the Tennis Center will be additionally impacted due to these activities.

On Friday, Oct. 20, parking lot 2 by Kjeldsen Pool will be closed to parking all day for event set-up and Food Truck Frenzy later that evening. Please note that two tents will remain in that lot until Monday, Oct. 23 when they will be taken down but will not block any parking spaces.   

On Saturday, Oct. 21:

  • Parking Lot 31 on Chapel Way between Grace Covell and Weber Hall (all "A" spaces) will be blocked off all day on for Taste of Pacific Winery Staff parking.
  • Parking Lot 23 in front of Faye Spanos Concert Hall - just the pie-shaped wedge adjacent to Smith Gate - will be closed to all parking except media vehicles.
  • Parking Lot 3 on the south side of Athletics off Mendocino Ave. - 30 spaces will be reserved from 6 a.m. to  noon.
  • Community clinics offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the DeRosa University Center by law, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy and audiology students will draw significant numbers of community members, which will add additional impact to the parking near the DeRosa Center.

Parking lot numbers are labeled on the campus parking map.

Shuttle Buses
There will be four shuttle buses on campus Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. to assist our guests and staff getting from parking lots to the various events being held on campus that day. The shuttles are free and open to everyone. For more information on the location of the shuttle stops, please visit the Pacific Alumni Association website or download the Homecoming app from the App Store or Google Play.
