2019–20 Institutional Priorities and Initiatives


Institutional Priorities 2019–20

To become a university that delivers outstanding academic programs and excellent support services for students, Pacific will focus on the following institutional priorities: 

Institutional priority 1: Strengthen our enrollment growth


  • Academics
    • Developing new, re-envisioned, high-demand academic programs
    • Considering ways to capture more market share
    • Redesigning general education
    • Developing and implementing retention plans
  • Administration:
    • Intensifying recruitment and financial aid strategies, including looking at tuition pricing models
    • Completing library renovation in January 2020
    • Intensifying undergraduate and graduate marketing
    • Revamping website with launch in September 2020

Institutional priority 2: Nurture a culture of trust, civility and respect


  • Improving financial reporting with redesigned chart of accounts
  • Improving communication and transparency (more student/administrator interactions and better communication)

Institutional priority 3: Enhance the Pacific experience for students, faculty and staff


  • Renovating facilities in Sacramento to better accommodate students and new/existing programs
  • Enhancing mental health and wellness services and services for students with disabilities on all three campuses
  • Assessing and recommending different platforms for online programs
  • Improving employee recognition and events
