Project Management in the PMO
Once a project is activated by the Project Review Board, the requestor is contacted. Only projects that have approved budgets and available resources are placed in an activated status. The Project Manager assigned to the effort schedules a meeting with the end user to discuss the project and begin the necessary project steps. All projects follow the defined project management processes:
- Initiation
- Planning
- Monitoring & Controlling
- Execution
- Closure - to include a lessons learned and a post mortem
