Admission Requirements
The following items are required in order to be admitted into the program:
- Undergraduate degree
- Official transcripts showing a 3.0/4.0 GPA on the last 60 units of undergraduate study.
(Transcripts are required from all undergraduate institutions) - Educational qualifications and/or work experience in the following areas:
- Computer Programming (C++, Java, Python, .NET, or another high-level language)
- Data Structures (equivalent to Pacific's COMP 53)
- Don't have this experience yet? You could take this course at Pacific or another institution prior to starting the Cybersecurity program
- Personal Statement
- Two letters of recommendation
- Resume
Neither the GRE nor the GMAT is required for admission to this program.
For additional information, refer to General Requirements from the Office of Graduate Admission for all students. (Note that the GRE test is not required for the Cybersecurity program)
Personal Statement
The purpose of the personal statement is to allow applicants to demonstrate their motivation, skills, and abilities that will contribute to their academic success in our program. While there is no specific format required for this statement, applicants are advised to give particular consideration to:
- Academic credentials
- Experience (in school or in the workforce) in computer programming and discrete math
- Commitment and personal stamina to undertake fast paced, intensive academic program
- Enthusiasm for this particular course of study
