Non-Tenure Track Faculty Task Force

In February 2015, Provost Pallavicini established the Non-Tenure Track (NTT) Task Force to identify and prioritize issues concerning contingent faculty at Pacific, and to produce a working document to suggest recommendations to address those issues. A copy of the original NTT Task Force charge memo may be seen HERE.

The NTT Task Force is composed of non-tenured faculty representating each of Pacific's schools and the College, along with tenured faculty and administrative staff from the Office of the Provost.

The NTT Task Force completed its original charge in August 2015 with the release of a final report and set of recommendations, which can be viewed HERE.

Over the past year, in conjunction with Academic Administration and in collaboration across the University, many of the recommendations of the NTT Task Force were implemented to address the issues identified in the report. An update was sent to faculty in November 2016, including the report and a cover memo from the Chair, Mary Beth Moylan, indicating the progress made on each recommendation. A copy of the cover memo and report may be viewed in Sharepoint HERE.

On November 17, 2016, Provost Pallavicini charged the NTT Task Force to continue its work. Specifically, the Provost has charged the Task Force with recommending, by March 10, 2017, a compensation methodology for Pacific's non-tenure track faculty that is tied to excellence in teaching, that is competitive with our geographic peers and reflects how Pacific values the NTT teaching professionals across our three campuses. A copy of this charge may be seen HERE.
