Gail Amornpongchai, AuD earned a bachelor of arts in communication sciences and disorders from Northwestern University in 2007 and a doctor of audiology from Vanderbilt University in 2011. Before joining the Pacific faculty in 2015 she worked as an audiologist at Microtone Audiology, Inc. in Napa, California. She is well-versed in diagnostic evaluation and hearing aid technology. She also specializes in the evaluation of patients with dizziness and balance disorders. Dr. Amornpongchai enjoys working with both adult and pediatric populations. What she loves about working in the Pacific Audiology Clinic is that it is an established practice that offers the best evidence-based practice and care for patients in the community.
Dr. Amornpongchai is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Amornpongchai's main goal as an audiologist is to improve the quality of life for children and adults with all degrees of hearing loss and to help patients reconnect with those they love through better hearing.
In 2014, Dr. Amornpongchai pursued her passion for humanitarian outreach by launching Microtone Audiology's "Hearing Heart" project. They partnered with All Ears Cambodia to deliver 100 new hearing aids that had been donated. They also trained local medical staff in Cambodia on hearing aid fittings and maintenance to ensure a sustainable hearing care program. She is originally from Thailand and is fluent in both Thai and English. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking and bowling.
