Randy Sandoli is a pianist and composer as well as faculty and Assistant Director for Jazz Studies at University of the Pacific. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in jazz studies from Pacific's Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music Degree in jazz performance from California State University, Sacramento. His major teachers include Joe Gilman, Patrick Langham and Rex Cooper. He has also studied with Mark Levine, Robert Glasper, Taylor Eigsti, Christian McBride and Joshua Redman. In 2011 Randy became the Jazz Studies Director at the Zion Academy of Music in Stockton, a K-12 performing arts school, where he lead the Zion Academy Jazz Ensemble, an audition only group of high school students emphasizing excellence in jazz performance.
In 2015, Randy released his first album, entitled "Gettin' Goin'" featuring members of the 2014-15 Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet. He performs regularly with others and continues to lead his own group, ranging in size from trio to sextet.
