Thomas Brierton joined the faculty of the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific in 1989 where he is now Associate Professor of Business Law. He holds the J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law and the B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
Professor Brierton has been involved in both the academic and legal environments for many years. He has taught a variety of courses on the graduate level, including Business Law to M.B.A. students, Business Ethics to Executive M.B.A. students, and Business Law to corporate sponsored M.B.A. students at corporate training facilities. He has also been a seminar lecturer in employment law, church law and C.P.A. law review. As an attorney, he has litigated a wide variety of cases in private practice and served as a consultant to small businesses in the commercial and employment law areas. He has written and published articles on discrimination in the workplace and consistently presents papers at national and regional meetings of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
In the Conservatory of Music, Professor Brierton teaches Entertainment Law in the Music Management program.
