Pacific's pharmacy program receives full eight-year accreditation from ACPE

Jul 18, 2016

Dean Phillip Oppenheimer announced last Friday that the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Reaccreditation response following the school's fall 2015 Pharmacy Self Study Report and the February 2016 ACPE site visit was very positive.

"We received a full eight-year accreditation," Oppenheimer said. "I wish to thank and congratulate everyone involved for their dedication and excellent work on the school's behalf."

As is customary during an accreditation cycle, the school will provide an interim report in October 2018 to ACPE on several areas that they wish to monitor, most of these items are already in progress to meet the new 2016 accreditation standards.

"This excellent outcome represents the commitment of all of our constituencies in maintaining excellence in our Doctor of Pharmacy program," Oppenheimer said. "From our faculty, staff and preceptors, to our alumni, donors and students, each one of us should feel an extreme sense of accomplishment knowing that we are meeting the standards set forth by ACPE in preparing outstanding practitioners for the delivery of pharmacist-provided patient care."

The next reaccreditation will be in 2023-2024.
