The Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. Hallmarks of our Civil Engineering program include:
- Close faculty-student interaction, creating exciting opportunities for students.
- Up to 7 months of paid internship (co-op) included in the curriculum.
- Each student’s Faculty Advisor assists in developing a personalized curriculum plan based on the student’s interests and skills. A student’s curriculum plan can even include space for undergraduate research, athletics, a minor, second major, or study abroad, to name a few.
Pacific Civil Engineering graduates are prepared with the knowledge and skills essential for success in their careers. Our graduates work in a variety of positions at private consulting firms, construction companies, large corporations, and public agencies. The curriculum emphasizes coursework in:
- Environmental engineering
- Geotechnical engineering
- Structural engineering
- Water resources engineering.
The School of Engineering & Computer Science offers a Master of Science in Engineering Science degree with a concentration in Civil Engineering. Through the “Blended B.S./MSES Program” a student can begin graduate course work during the senior year at Pacific and complete both degrees in a total of five years! CO-OP Program
As part of the Civil Engineering Program, students complete a seven month, paid cooperative education experience working in industry. Civil Engineering students work with companies such as BKF Engineers, Eco Lodge, MCR Engineering, and American Building Company to name a few. Check out the list of recent co-op employers.
