Discover Bioengineering

The Bioengineering Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.orgThis program includes up to 7 months of paid internship.  Each student has a dedicated faculty advisor to assist in developing a personalized curriculum plan based on interests and skills.  Student's plans can include undergraduate research, minors, and international opportunities.

The world of biotechnology has expanded immensely over the past decade, and it continues to grow at a rapid pace, creating many new opportunities for engineers who have knowledge of the biological sciences including anatomy, organic chemistry, and genetics.  Many challenging opportunities also exist in areas such as tissue engineering, gene therapy, medical imaging and informatics, to name a few.  Clearly, as a bioengineer you can have an immediate impact upon the quality of life.
