Green Move Out
In an effort to minimize landfill waste during student move out, Sustaining Pacific and Residential Life & Housing partner each year for the Green Move Out Program! during the last two weeks of school, we will have donation boxes available in campus housing where students can place usable materials that they no longer want.
Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers! Volunteers will receive a Green Team t-shirt. Volunteers who work 3 or more shifts will also receive a Sustaining Pacific HydroFlask! To sign up, email pacificgreenteam@pacific.edu.
Locations
Donation stations are located in lobbies and lounges of all residence halls, outside at the Townhouse Apartments and at all on-campus Greek houses (Theta Chi, Alpha Phi, Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Chi, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Delta Delta).
Accepted Items
School supplies: Books, binders, pencils, pens, staplers, unused notebooks, folders, paper, organizers
Electronics: Mini fridges, computer monitors, computer accessories, TVs, microwaves, lamps, vacuums
- Please label broken electronics with "broken" stickers provided at all stations
Food: Cans, unopened boxes, unopened packages, other non-perishable foods
Kitchenware: Pots, pans, baking dishes, cups, mugs, bowls, utensils
Clean clothes: jackets, pants, shirts, sweaters, socks
Clean linens: Sheets, blankets, towels (NO pillows or foam mattress toppers)
Chemicals: Cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and conditioner, printer ink, paint, personal hygiene products
Miscellaneous: Storage containers, mirrors, artwork
Not accepted
Pillows, foam mattress toppers, perishable food
Partner Organizations
We work with the following organizations to redistribute donations into the community: United Way, Stockton Shelter for the Homeless, Community Hospice/Hope Chest, Stockton Animal Shelter, Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary, and St. Mary's Dining Room
