Faculty Compensation Task Force Update

Office of the ProvostApr 18, 2016

Along with progress on Goal 1 of the Academic Plan, progress also continues to be made on Goal 3 of the Academic Plan ("Pacific will capitalize on faculty expertise to strengthen our reputation") through the work of the Faculty Compensation Task Force.

The Task Force is charged with developing a compensation philosophy that is tied to excellence in teaching and scholarship/creative endeavors, is competitive with our peers, is anchored in market information that is reliable and valid, and has a timeframe for implementation based on the agreed-upon framework. This will be a three-semester process.

To inform the work of the Task Force, a survey has been developed to seek broad input from the faculty on compensation matters. The Task Force will use the survey results will help to form the initial draft of the philosophy. The survey will be launched April 22 and remain open until May 13. This survey will be distributed to all full-time faculty. Thank you in advance for your participation.
