Michael Au is the new assistant program manager in the Department of Dental Practice in Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Nicole Egan is a new clinical legal fellow in the Advanced Law Center at the Sacramento Campus.

Michelle Fang has transferred to the position of dental assistant in the Department of Clinic Administration in Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Maysa Namakian was promoted to director of continuing dental education in the Department of Dental Practice in Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Michon Rinehart is a new administrative assistant II in Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

DeeLynn Rivinius is the new program director for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in the Center for Professional and Continuing Education.

Associate Provost for Professional Learning Workforce Development
Applications are being accepted for an associate provost for Professional Learning Workforce Development to create the vision and strategy for Pacific's University for Professional Learning and Workforce Development. In this role, the associate provost will develop a portfolio of learning solutions through non-credit bearing offerings designed to meet the needs of 21st century learners. The portfolio will be keyed to the economic development and talent needs of nontraditional learners, organizations, university staff, and alumni. This position reports to the provost and works closely with the vice provost for distributed learning and the vice provost for enrollment management. Director, Center for Teaching and Learning
The search committee has been formed and is currently reviewing a pool of candidates developed through a nationwide search. The committee's goal is to select final candidates in time for campus visits prior to commencement. This search committee is chaired by Vice Provost Berit Gundersen.

Director, Academic Assessment
Applications are being accepted for a director of academic assessment to lead the university's academic assessment processes for ongoing improvement in student learning. With early preparations underway for institutional reaccreditation in 2018-19, the director will have an opportunity to be centrally involved in Pacific's self-study process. Cha Yang was promoted to senior environmental health and safety technician in Enterprise Risk Management.


Anita Ayers is the new annual fund manager for Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She joins Pacific from the University of San Francisco Law School, where she worked the last 11 years. She is a strong writer and event coordinator in addition to her fundraising acumen. She can be reached at or 415.929.6431. 

Elizabeth Bacon will transition to the new position of campaign manager. Bacon, now in the position of assistant dean for development for the School of Engineering and Computer Science, will now be responsible for handling, organizing and administering Pacific's University-wide campaign planning and operations. At Pacific, Bacon has led advancement efforts at the School of Engineering and Computer Science and helped raise more than $1.8 million in gifts over the past three years.  She begins the new position on April 16.

Mike Becker, annual giving manager for athletics, has announced that he has accepted a new job as an assistant coach with the women's volleyball team at the University of Pittsburgh. He will be working under head coach and Pacific alumnus Dan Fisher '99, '08. He begins the new position on May 1.

Amy Field is the new assistant director for alumni engagement in Alumni Relations.

Natalie Loschke has accepted the position of assistant major gift officer for the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education. Loschke will report to Holly Stanco, senior assistant dean for advancement for the Conservatory of Music and the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education, and will begin her new role on April 16. Loschke joined the Development and Alumni Relations team in January 2012 as operations manager, overseeing phonathon, direct mail, social media and marketing functions of the Pacific Fund. In December 2013 she was promoted to assistant director for annual giving operations, taking on additional responsibilities for the Student Philanthropy Program, crowdfunding, and strengthening collaboration with the professional schools. Most recently, in September 2014, Natalie took on a role within the Advancement Operations team as associate director for development and alumni relations communications. She will continue to handle some communications elements for the first few weeks of her transition into her new role. Her new campus extension will be 209.946.7720 and her new office location in room 204F in the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education.    

Suzy Martegani's position has been redefined as business manager for Development and Alumni Relations. Martegani first began her work at Pacific as an administrative support professional for the Public Relations team which, at the time, was a part of the University Relations Division and included Development, Alumni Relations, the Mailing team and Duplicating team. She has functioned as an administrative assistant and executive assistant to the vice president before transitioning to new roles more fully focused on assisting with budget and human resource matters. The position realignment reflects the additional responsibilities she has assumed as the division has grown. 

Willie Recht has joined Pacific as director of development for McGeorge School of Law. He comes to Pacific from Colorado where he served as the development director for One Colorado and One Colorado Education Fund — Colorado's largest LGBT advocacy organization. During his time at One Colorado, Recht was instrumental in creating, implementing and managing a detailed campaign plan and organizational structure, which helped guide and oversee an annual budget of $1.3 million, while more than doubling the number of individual donors.  Prior to One Colorado, he was a major gifts officer and manager of women's philanthropy for JEWISHColorado (formerly the Allied Jewish Federation), where he worked directly with the CEO and Federation Leadership to empower Jewish philanthropy and to raise critical funds, over a $10 million annual campaign, to support and sustain Jewish institutions and organizations throughout Colorado and Israel. He started on March 21 and reports to Mindy Danovaro.

Tom Sasser, director of major gifts, will become the new assistant dean for development for the School of Engineering and Computer Science and the University Library. He begins the new position on April 16.

Charleen Yson transferred to the position of group practice coordinator in Development at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Student Life

Ana Argueta has transferred to the position of business support specialist I in the Career Resource Center.

David McAuley is the enforcement services support/community services officer in Public Safety.

Tanner Smith is a new public safety officer in Sacramento Campus Public Safety.   

Pacific Technology

Linda Evans was promoted to program management office director.


Michael Kelly was promoted to assistant director of athletics for facilities and operations.

Anna Kertes is the new water polo video specialist.

Kerri Scroope is the new head coach for women's soccer. Scroope joins the Tigers from Delaware State, where she spent three seasons at the helm of the Hornets, finishing as the most successful coach in the history of the program. Most recently, in 2015, Scroope's squad captured its second-straight Independent Conference tournament, while also securing a new program mark for wins and best overall winning percentage. The Hornets also set single-season best marks for most games played, goals, points, shots and shots on-goal.

Wesley Yourth was promoted to associate director of athletics for capital projects and facility operations.
