Curriculum Vitae

Teaching Philosophy

The aim of teaching is to help a student learn things they don't know, and to learn how to do things they can't yet do. Learning is easiest and most fun when students are active and engaged with what they are learning. My aim is to create learning activities and processes for students that they can't help but learn from, and which provides a lot of opportunity for feedback on how they are doing. Teaching is not a "one size fits all" activity - so I do my best to adapt my teaching activities to the needs of the particular student and/or class.
