Canvas Migration Progress and SharePoint Resources

Office of the ProvostMar 7, 2016

CTL staff are pleased to announce that they are well on their way into Phase 3 of the Sakai-to-Canvas migration. They have received requests to migrate more than 500 courses in Phase 3, and have just 200 remaining. All told, they already have migrated a total of 674 courses from Sakai to Canvas!

If faculty/staff have not yet requested courses to be migrated, please complete this form or contact Senior Instructional Designer Dr. Tara Buñag at CTL staff must have the exact course name (as listed in Sakai), the term, and the creator of the Sakai course to successfully migrate courses. Remember, Sakai will be archived as of June 30, 2016.

Any project sites that are student-facing can also be migrated to Canvas. All other non-academic project sites should be migrated to SharePoint. Read more or request a SharePoint site.

Faculty wishing to learn more about Canvas can visit the CTL LibGuide. Don't forget to stop in at Canvas Camps, held every Thursday in the CTL from 9a-3p, for one-on-one assistance. We have had more than 200 faculty visits!

Farewell Reception: you are invited to a farewell reception for Terri Johnson on March 31, 4 - 6 p.m. in the CTL.
