Andrew Dwan '13, bass-baritone, graduated from University of the Pacific's Conservatory of Music and recently finished his graduate studies at the University of Southern California, where he studied with Elizabeth Hynes.

Dwan was one of three winners of the Metropolitan Opera Council competition in the San Francisco district, and received a special encouragement award at the Western Region finals.

Previous roles include Figaro from Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" with San Jose Opera, Silenus from Theofanidis' "The Cows of Apollo" with the Aspen Music Festival, and Seneca from Monteverdi's "L'incoronazione di Poppea" with the University of Southern California.

He also has a passion for contemporary vocal works with recent performances of Aldous Huxley in Anne LeBaron's "LSD: The Opera," premiered at the Disney Redcat hall, and in Jason Thorpe Buchanan's "Hunger," performed in conjunction with The Industry's First Take '15.

Dwan was also in the Pacific Opera Theatre's production of "The Merry Wives of Windsor," which took first place in the National Opera Association's 2013 Opera Production Competition.
