Teaching Philosophy
The learning/teaching process is a lifetime adventure. It can be exhilarating, hard work, time consuming, frustrating, but it is always rewarding. Learning how to best explore existing knowledge; observe, experiment and discover new knowledge; and communicate with others can be one of the most exiting challenges an individual can face.
Scholarly Interest
My most recent areas of interest are associated with the petrology of Cenozoic sedimentary rocks of central California [Mehrten and Neroly Formations]; and the geomorphology of the Sierra foothills (Table Mountain).
