Message from United Way campaign chair

I am once again honored that President Eibeck has asked me to chair our United Way campaign at Pacific. The need for support in our community for those less fortunate remains ever present. With your help, we can make a positive difference.

President Eibeck has set a goal this year of 25% participation and a total donation of $110,000. Thanks to all of you, we surpassed our goal last year by raising in excess of $112,000 with a 35% participation rate.  Thank you so much. 

I am excited to announce that we are moving the campaign into the digital age. Those who pledged through payroll deduction last year will be able to make their 2016 pledge online through InsidePacific. Just follow the simple navigation instructions in the box below. Those wishing to make a one-time contributions, set up payroll deduction for the first time, or prefer to use a paper form may complete the pledge form in the packet provided by your unit's United Way campaign coordinator.

Remember, your contribution can be in any amount, and every bit helps nonprofits in our local Stockton community and surrounding areas! Any 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization can be designated and your donation will go to that organization. If you already donate to a favorite charity, please consider making your donation through the United Way Campus Campaign. Donations can be made as a one-time gift or through a monthly pledge. Please know that out of every dollar gifted to United Way of San Joaquin, no less than 90 cents goes directly to the nonprofits.  United Way of San Joaquin operates on less than 10% of their annual giving received. 

You should be receiving your information materials, pledge form and return envelope from your department's campaign leader. It includes information on some of the organizations supported by United Way and answers to frequently asked questions. Please take time to review your materials and complete your pledge form and return it right away!

Instructions for making online contributions for United Way:

  • Login to InsidePacific with PacificNet ID and Password
  • Click on the "Administrative' tab"
  • Under the heading "Administrative Services," click on the link "Click here to:"
    • Then click "Employee
    • Click "Benefits and Deductions"
    • Click "Miscellaneous"
    • Scroll down to United Way and click the option to "Update"
    • Change status to "Active"
    • Change effective date to "01/01/2016"
    • Under "Employee Amount," enter amount you wish to be deducted from each paycheck
    • Under "Employee Limit," enter total amount of annual pledge (paycheck deduction amount multiplied by 24 paychecks)
    • Click 'Submit Changes' and follow instructions to make your United Way allocation.

You will be taken to a screen that allows you to designate pledge recipients so that donations are made in your name. If you opt not to complete a pledge form, your allocation will be distributed to worthy organizations anonymously through United Way.
