SEED-Sponsored Faculty Development Opportunity

Sponsored by the Strategic Educational Excellence Development (SEED) fund, the Center for Teaching and Learning and Office of Services for Students with Disabilities will be offering a series of workshops on disability awareness and Universal Design of Instruction. The workshops will be led by Dr. Sheryl Burgstahler, a renowned researcher and author, founder and director of the DO-IT Center at the Washington State University, along with other expert practitioners.

DO-IT stands for Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology. This training will promote awareness and provide faculty with strategies to create welcoming and accessible learning environments to ensure success for our students with disabilities.

All course materials and lunch will be provided. Space is limited to 25 faculty members. Participants will receive a $1,500 stipend for completing the 5-module training. The priority registration deadline is October 2, 2015.

Please submit the registration form to Feilin Hsiao, Associate Professor, Conservatory of Music, at fhsiao@pacific.edu, or send through campus mail to Faye Spanos Concert Hall room 200.
