Dear Pacific Community,
What a year!
Thanks to the hard work, diligence and creativity of faculty, staff and students we have accomplished a great deal this year. Here are a few highlights.
We have expanded the breadth and depth of our academic offerings through six newly approved programs including Doctor of Audiology, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Analytics and Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies. We have completed our COACHE tenure-track/tenured faculty survey, with results due to us in August. We initiated a comprehensive internal review of working conditions for non-tenure track faculty. We submitted our WASC Interim Report in March. Finally, we continue to improve efficiencies in the Academic Division. An annual report on the Academic Division will be available in early fall.
Most recently, we completed our new academic plan, Crossing Boundaries for Academic Excellence. This plan, developed with a comprehensive mix of faculty, staff, student and administration interaction, will direct our academic focus for the next five years.
I want to thank each and every member of the academic division for the enthusiasm, dedication and work ethic that has made this year a success for the University and our students. Have a wonderful summer and we will see you all back refreshed in the fall.
Best wishes,
