Research Day and PURCC events combine for 2015

Mar 23, 2015

This year, Research Day and the Pacific Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference (PURCC) have integrated to create one space for faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students to come together and present their research. No more need to walk to different events in different parts of the campus!

The Office of Sponsored Programs is pleased to invite all faculty and students to present their scholarly work at Research Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 25 in the DeRosa University Center Ballrooms A and B. All disciplines are welcome. This is an excellent way to showcase your work, network with other scholars, exchange ideas and best practices, and explore inter-disciplinary research endeavors.

The deadline to submit an abstract to present a poster at the event is Monday, April 6.  Media other than posters are welcome! This can include specimens, small portable engineered items, displays of artwork, and recordings of theatrical or musical presentations.

Faculty and graduate students, please submit abstract via online form here:

Undergraduates can find abstract submission guidelines and the online submission form here:

All members of the Pacific community are encouraged to stop by to support your colleagues, peers and students in the pursuit of scholarship. Also, in addition to Research Day events on April 25, the PURCC also encompasses the following showcase events:

  • The Senior Art and Design Show - April 20-May 9 in Reynolds Gallery
  • Composers Club Concerts - April 28 in the Recital Hall and April 29 in Faye Spanos Concert Hall
  • Engineering and Computer Science Senior Project Demonstrations - May 2
  • The Student Film Festival - May 5 in the Janet Leigh Theatre
