Faculty Support Through Distributed Learning

The primary goal of Distributed Learning is to support faculty with teaching needs and professional development.  This includes support in the design of courses delivered through distributed technologies, along with the use of various media components in the classroom.  The DL staff includes a full-time Senior Instructional Designer, and Instructional Media Coordinator to serve as resources to faculty preparing for online, hybrid or traditional classes.  For more information, please see Instructional Design Services.

Additional faculty support comes from the Center for Teaching and Learning, which holds workshops, webinars and classes on topics such as writing effective multiple choice questions, teaching in a large classroom, and individual and peer assessment.  The CTL also holds open hours every Monday from 11am to 1pm for drop-in questions, as well as weekly sessions for assistance using the current Learning Management System, Sakai.   Click here to see the full CTL Calendar of Events.
