The course numbering system is as follows:

  • 011 - 199 Undergraduate Courses
  • 200 - 299 Graduate Courses - Master’s Level

  • 9000 - 9999 Professional Development Courses

Some classes are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Each page of the schedule has the following headings:

  • CRN is the course reference number, a five-digit code used to identify each class.
It is in effect only for the current term: 3xxxx for Spring Session,5xxxx for 1st Summer Session, 6xxxx for 2nd Summer Session, 7xxxx for 3rd Summer Session, 8xxxx for Fall Session.
  • Dept is the department offering the course for the term.
  • Crs is the course number the department has given that course(e.g., Math 145).
  • Sec is the number used to identify the section (class), sometimes there is more than one section: H = Honors, L = Laboratory or D = Discussion group.
  • Title is the name assigned by the department to the course. Titles for individualized study courses (199, etc.) may be assigned by the instructor.
  • Units reflects the number of credit hours assigned to each course. The value may be either fixed or variable.
  • Days of the week for the class meetings are abbreviated: M = Monday; T = Tuesday; W = Wednesday; R= Thursday; F = Friday.
  • Hours give the class meeting time in standard time, not military hours.
  • Instructor, Bldg, Room are listed for each class, when known. For building abbreviation and location, see the campus map in this schedule. Classroom assignments are subject to change.

Blanks (or ‘TBA’) in the Days, Hours, Instructor, Bldg, or Room columns signify the information was not available at the time the schedule waspublished or the course meeting time and location is to be arranged.
