Faculty Support Surveys and Non-Tenure Track Conversations with the Provost
Back to Issue 14 Table of Contents
As part of an ongoing process to support all University stakeholders, this semester Pacific will be participating in national benchmarked surveys with our faculty, students and staff. The faculty surveys are designed to provide information to assist Pacific to understand climate and issues that are especially important to faculty. All faculty will be surveyed.
While these surveys are powerful tools to determine issues and possible solution to faculty issues, the Provost's Office also acknowledges that the issues faced by non-tenure track faculty, both full and part time, may be very different than those of tenured and tenure track faculty, and as such may not be fully definable using the survey tools. In addition to the surveys, the Provost will be hosting conversations to learn more about how Pacific can best support our non-tenure track faculty.
Open conversations with the Provost that have been scheduled thus far are:
- January 15, 2015, 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the DeRosa University Center Room 211A/B (also by video conference from the McGeorge Library Conference Room and the Dugoni School room 514b)
- January 27, 2015, 1:00-2:00 p.m., in San Francisco (room TBD)
- January 30, 2015, 12:00-1:30p.m., Sacramento, Mcgeorge Northwest Hall
We thank you for your hard work and dedication and look forward to seeing you soon.
