CIO Search Underway

Back to Issue 14 Table of Contents

As first reported in October in Pacific Insider, the national search for a new Chief Information Officer (CIO) has begun. A Request for Proposals went out to a number of qualified firms, resulting in the selection of Issacson Miller to assist in the search. With this assistance, a committee chaired by Provost Pallavicini has begun this nationwide effort.
While in the past the CIO has reported to the Provost, the CIO has now been elevated to a Vice President position and member of the President's Cabinet, reporting directly to the President. The next CIO of Pacific will exert significant influence in building our capacity to be efficient users, learners and teachers with technology within the framework of Pacific 2020, not only in academics but university wide. The Provost looks forward to the search and the opportunities our next CIO can fulfill.
To learn more about the role our new CIO will play in Pacific's future, please see the original story here in Pacific Insider.
