Getting up to Speed: Strategies for University Success

Get_up_to_SpeedDesigned for entry-level adult students, the aim of this course is to ease the transition into to the academic expectations and challenges of study at the University of the Pacific. Together with the professor, students will have the opportunity to read, discuss ideas, thoughts and concerns regarding their academic journey at the university. Several topics will be explored: creative problem solving; college study strategies; career and self-evaluation; applications of thinking critically; peer coaching; time management; journal and research writing techniques; stress management; and goal setting.
