Corporate Partner Spotlight: Wells Fargo

In September 2014, Wells Fargo once again rose to the challenge and embraced the opportunity to partner with University of the Pacific for maximum impact on Pacific students and the Stockton community. Through their grant of $40,000, Wells Fargo will play a key role in advancing the efforts of the Eberhardt School of Business' (ESB) Financial Competency Initiative as well as the Tomorrow Project Academies, which fall under Pacific's "Beyond Our Gates" initiative.

Corporate Partner Spotlight: Wells Fargo

The Financial Competency Initiative provides a forum for financial literacy in elementary schools within the Stockton Unified School District whereby ESB's Beta Alpha Psi - an honorary society for accounting, finance and management information systems students - under the supervision of a faculty advisor, are responsible for administering the program. Not only is this opportunity educational for the youth of our area, but also critical in the development of Pacific students as leaders within their community.

The Tomorrow Project Academies are specialized K-12 programs that offer skills and resources to some of the region's most academically vulnerable children. The after-school, weekend and summer programs that comprise the Tomorrow Project Academies serve more than 2,500 students each year, and build a network of sustained support to guide young people toward high school graduation and to prepare them for a successful future.

Wells Fargo has been a consistent supporter of various programs at University of the Pacific with giving history dating back to the mid-1960s. Pacific is incredibly grateful for their integral financial contributions, as well as other industry resources. It is because of the commitment from community stakeholders like Wells Fargo that University of the Pacific remains positioned to offer and sustain programs that not only enhance the educational experience for its students, but also invest in our community's future.
