
"Remarkable Women of Stockton" by former Pacific librarian Mary Jo Gohlke will be the topic of discussion at the faculty and staff book club meeting on July 17.
Meet the author event July 17
The faculty and staff FRED Book Club (which stands for Friends Reading in EDucation) will be hosting a "Meet the Author" event. The book is Remarkable Women of Stockton.
Author Mary Jo Gohlke worked for the University Library from 1994 to 2001 and then for the Stockton Public Library until her recent retirement. She is also a journalist. The book highlights the fascinating stories of 22 Women who played prominent roles during Stockton's growth from gold rush tent city to California leader in transportation, agriculture and manufacturing.
Faculty and staff are welcome to join the lunchtime discussion on Thursday, July 17, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
The book will also be available for purchase and Ms. Gohlke will be available to sign books following the meeting.
