About the San Francisco Campus
University of the Pacific's new San Francisco campus is a state-of-the-art home of learning, teaching, patient care and research.
The 155 Fifth Street building offers 395,000 total square feet on seven floors, plus a basement parking level. The campus features flexible learning environments, state-of-the-art health clinics, research labs and communal spaces. The campus is the home of six dental degree programs offered by the highly regarded Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Additional graduate programs in Audiology, Food Studies and Music Therapy will be offered at the 155 Fifth Street location as Pacific expands its offerings in San Francisco.
The convenient location is close to all major public transportation options, including BART, Muni and CalTrain. The new campus is built to LEED Gold standard to optimize energy and water efficiencies, and support overall environmental health.
The history of the building goes back to 1973, when the structure was built by Continental Development Corporation on behalf of Crocker National Bank. It was designed for 24-hour data and client service operation, and was one of the most technologically advanced, large floor plate office buildings in San Francisco at the time. University of the Pacific purchased the building in November 2011. The structure underwent a comprehensive exterior and interior renovation over a two-year period of construction. Project partners included SmithGroupJJR, Inc. (Lead Architect), Plant Construction Company (General Contractor) and Nova Partners, Inc. (Project Management).
The top two floors of the building are leased out to Eventbrite as commercial office space.
