IT

FY 14 Budget
Perrot presented confidential information on recommended FY 14 budget adjustments.
Tuition Rate Increase
Extended discussion occurred around how tuition increases affects current and prospective students. There was a question of whether or not the IPC will have time to engage in the topic deeply given the timeline for finalizing a FY 15 budget recommendation. The committee agreed to set aside time at a future meeting to further discuss institutional financial aid and tuition setting strategy; President Eibeck said that next fall a new recommendation can be taken to the Board.
A motion to approve the recommended tuition rate increase at a rate of 3.9% was carried at a vote of: 10 (yes); 1 (no); 2 (abstentions).
Compensation Strategies
It was recommended that in the future the IPC discuss staggering increases for salaries above a certain amount; for instance there could be lower increases for those with higher salaries.
