Budget Task Force (BTF) Report
Dean Oppenheimer shared an abridged version of the Budget Task Force (BTF) Report. President Eibeck charged the BTF to recommend and assist with the implementation of an alternative budget allocation model for Pacific. There were three components that the BTF were asked to consider:

  1. To create a budget model that would incentivize.
  2. To hold administrative and academic units accountable for whatever projections they made for income/expenses.
  3. To recommend a budget model that is university-wide.

The official recommendation from the BTF will remain confidential until the President releases the report to the University community.

Strategic Investment Fund (SIF)
The Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) was tasked with developing a process whereby funds could be accessed from the Strategic Investment Fund (SIF). Provost Pallavicini and Hetrick provided an update. The SPC recommended slowing down in order to be more thoughtful. The group recognized that an implementation plan will have to follow the development of the process. There is currently no other group or individual who can implement the process. The University is currently recruiting candidates for the associate vice president for planning position. The SPC will continue discussing the SIF process and will have a recommendation by the end of spring.
