After School & Tutoring Programs
Harold S. Jacoby Center is a partner agency for Stockton Unified School District's After School Program (ASP), more commonly known as Stockton Tutoring and Enrichment Program (STEP) Up. We establish community education centers to keep children safe after school and provide intellectual, physical and psycho-social enrichment.
The daily program:
- Dismissal from regular school day and bathroom break,
- Check in and nutritious snack
- Academic Hour-Educational instruction in literacy, math or other core subject area
- Active Physical Education- skills instruction, cooperative games
- Enrichment classes, extended library hour, culture studies, The Real Game, Too Good for Drugs, arts and crafts, academic based games and activities
- Homework Help-quiet time to work on homework
- End of Day-Clean up and sign out
Harold S. Jacoby Center currently maintains ten elementary school sites.
