Mission Statement & Goals

Mission Statement of EEP:

The Educational Equity Programs at University of the Pacific are committed to fostering diversity and equity while promoting a campus learning environment that encourages and supports all students in persisting toward their educational goals. 

University of the Pacific abounds with a vast array of services designed to support your success from the time of your enrollment to graduation. Services consist of a broad range of retention programs which include such assistance as advising, mentoring, tutoring, leadership development, community service, student academic success intervention, campus life support, and general programs support. 

Major Goals of EEP: 

  1. Access and Equity - To provide underrepresented students with access to a higher education and supportive services that are designed to enable them to persist through the college experience. 
  2. Recruitment and Transition - To aid student in their transition to college life through pre-college support services and assistance in navigating the higher education experience. 
  3. Retention and Graduation - To provide a comprehensive range of retention services (e.g. academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, counseling, etc.) to underrepresented students in the division to facilitate their graduation.
