2020 Pacific Music Business Camp ONLINE

Register online here for July 20-22, 2020 (grades 9-12 of the 2019-20 school year)

After registration is submitted, you will be e-mailed a survey which must be completed and returned before camp begins.

Take the first step toward a career in the music business!

Are you a high school student who would like to have a career in the music industry? Would you like to know what it takes to become a:  

  1. Recording artist 
  2. Songwriter 
  3. Producer 
  4. Engineer?

Or learn how to:  

  • Manage a band 
  • Build an audience 
  • Promote your own concerts?

For high school students considering a career in the music industry, this intensive virtual three-day camp will provide a real-world orientation covering the key skills to succeed in this competitive field. Both musicians and non-musicians are welcome.

Each student will choose one of the study tracks listed below:

  1. Artist Development and Songwriting 
  2. Music Producer

You will have an interactive experience with award winning producers, engineers, songwriters, managers and other current industry professionals who will teach and mentor students. Curriculum includes music promotion and marketing, social media, and record production. 

Your experience will be interactive by using Zoom Meetings. Morning classes will focus on the fundamentals of music business, including panel discussions. During afternoon classes, students will select either songwriting or producing track sessions where they will interact with professionals and students with similar interests. This is the part of the program that also allows you to collaborate with other students. 

There will be opportunity for online songwriting/music collaborations including exploration of internet-based music creator platforms and software. 

Special bonus sessions and panel discussions will feature artist managers, producers, professional artists, record label executives and more. 

Technical and other requirements:  

  1. Personal computer, laptop, iPad or smart phone with audio and camera accessibility. Zoom app required (free download at
  2. Reliable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for class participation.
  3. Valid email is required for Zoom meetings and to access program guide and classroom files, documents and other materials.
