Legal Scholars Interview: What to Expect

Signing Up for the Interview:

  • If you plan to visit a class, choose an interview date that will allow at least one week of planning time for scheduling purposes.
  • The Legal Scholars luncheon is not required, but we highly encourage candidates to attend. There is no additional cost.

Before the Interview:

  • Dress in casual business attire.
  • Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your first scheduled event.
  • You are not required to bring anything for interview, and upon checking in you, will receive your itinerary and a packet of information.

During the Interview:

  • The interview panel will consist of 2-3 interviewers.
  • Family members must wait outside of the interview room.
  • You will answer 4-5 questions designed to gauge your interest in the Legal Scholars Program and the law.
  • The interview will last approximately 30 minutes.
  • You will have an opportunity to ask the interviewers questions about the Legal Scholars Program and the University of the Pacific.

After the Interview:

  • Candidates will receive notification of our decision through email and U.S. mail.
  • A select number of candidates will receive a scholarship offer, which will be included in the acceptance letter.
