AMJuliana

Juliana

Juliana (she/her/hers), current chapter President, is a senior English major, Writing minor. In her free time, she loves to visit new coffee shops and bookstores, create music playlists, go on spontaneous road trips, and read her favorite books. She is a big Harry Potter fan (fellow Ravenclaw!), as well as Star Wars and the Marvel Universe. Other than Active Minds, she is also involved in The Pacifican, the school’s newspaper as a staff writer.

Juliana is passionate about changing the conversation around mental health, and providing support to Pacific students that need the right resources on campus, such as CAPS. She knows talking about your mental health is challenging but you’re not alone in this journey! Mental health is not a destination but a process that’s constantly changing, it’s okay not to be okay sometimes; and you don’t have to struggle in silence.

AMNikki

Nikki

Nikki (she/her/hers), current chapter Vice President, is a senior Accounting major. In her free time she loves working out at her local CrossFit gym and occasionally participating in CrossFit competitions. She has a healthy obsession with Honey Bunches of Oats! Nikki is also the Treasurer of Pacific Society of Women in Business and works as a finance intern for the City of Ukiah.

Nikki is excited to change the conversation around mental health, and give Pacific students the resources when they need it. She knows it's hard sometimes to talk about our feelings and struggles during college, and hopes to make it an empowering process. Nikki is a strong advocate of CAPS and talking to people about the importance of mental health and self-care.

AMAllegra

Allegra

Allegra (she/her/hers), current chapter Treasurer, is a senior Biological Sciences major. She has a pet turtle that made her fall in love with everything related to the ocean. In her free time, you’ll often find her spending time with her family, watching sports, or being outside in nature. Allegra is also involved in other clubs on campus, like Pacific Feminism Club and Amnesty International, while also being a part of the Powell Scholars Program.

Allegra joined Active Minds in her freshman year, wanting to make an impact in the way that mental health is talked about and treated. Active Minds and working with CAPS has helped her understand her own mental health and the ways that she can support others with theirs, and she wants to continue to share the resources that anyone can use to help take care of themselves.

AMSumeet

Sumeet

Sumeet (she/her/hers), current Social Media Marketing Coordinator, is a senior Business Human Resources & Management major and Psychology minor. In her free time, Sumeet loves to spend time with her family and friends, binge watch shows on Netflix, and go on car ride adventures. Along with Active Minds, Sumeet is an active member of other on campus organizations like UOP Success TriO and Delta Sigma Pi - Lambda Mu chapter.

Sumeet is determined to change the conversation about mental health at University of the Pacific because she has seen many people close to her struggling to open up about their feelings and not knowing of the resources available to them. Sumeet believes that everyone deserves to receive help, and CAPS is a great place to start! It all starts with a conversation.
