Pacific Fund Grants
The Pacific Fund supports University of the Pacific's goals and mission by providing Student Aid and Pacific Fund Grants. Pacific Fund Grants Support Hands-on Learning by funding experimental learning opportunities, scholarship and research for students, faculty, and staff. A wide verity of projects are supported including research assistantships, thesis projects, study abroad, field work, upgrade of lab equipment, academic travel, research expenses and other hands-on learning initiatives. Students and faculty in every college within the University benefit from Pacific Fund.
Pacific Fund Grants are a direct result of the generous annual financial support from alumni, parents, employees, students and friends. Every gift to the Pacific Fund goes directly towards student access and academic innovation.
This year more than $275,000 in Pacific Fund Grants are avalible thanks to the support of our generous donors last year. Every year, demand for Pacific Fund Grants grows and we are unable to award funds to every eligible applicant. As the Pacific Fund grows we will be able to provide more support to students who are doing unique and amazing things here at Pacific.
Grants are distributed through the Undergraduate Research Task Force, Student Life Division, and school and college Dean's Offices. The amount of funds each division and college receives is based on raised contributions through alumni of that school and the number of students who are enrolled in that division. Each program sets the requirements on grant allocation, eligibility, application procedures and deadlines. Grants are distributed in varying amounts and are a request-for-proposal process.
