2012 Brubeck Festival

This year's Brubeck Festival was held March 28th thru March 31st. Performances were held at the Faye Spanos Concert Hall with evening sessions at the "Take 5" Jazz Club. Headlining the festival was the Danilo Perez Trio. Featured artists also included Lewis Nash, Debbie Duncan, the Willie Akins Quartet, the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet, the Pacific Jazz Ensemble and the Sacramento Jazz Orchestra. A special feature of the Festival was a panel discussion entitled, "Blow Your Horn & Set Man Free"-Jazz as Social Criticism in The Real Ambassadors featuring Keith Hatschek, Yolande Bavan (performer in The Real Ambassadors) and Ricky Riccardi (Archivist for the Louis Armstrong House Museum).
