What are the requirements to join the program?
You must either be First-Generation (neither parent has obtained a Bachelor's Degree), Low-Income (according to federal guidelines) and/or have a documented disability. In addition, a student must meet all of the following criteria: be a U.S. citizen or Legal Resident (must qualify for federal aid), have a FAFSA on file, have academic need and is a full-time undergraduate student at Pacific. How will I know if I am accepted into TRiO?
After the intake interview, pending verification of eligibility requirements and vacancies within the eligibility categories, students are informed of their status by email or mail. The student then signs up for a TRiO orientation meeting.  After the student attends the orientation and signs the appropriate forms, the student can then be admitted into the program.  (return to top)

What if I am not accepted into the program?
If you are notified that you have not been accepted, the best thing to do is to either call or come by the office.  It may be that our 200 student limit has been reached and you will be placed on a waiting list.
