The Tomorrow Project

We believe that our region's prosperity — its capacity for creating and sustaining fulfilling work, its ability to cultivate a rich cultural landscape, its power to extend a wealth of opportunity to all its residents — depends on education.

Out of a series of community forums convened by President Pamela Eibeck, education emerged as both a critical concern and a vital opportunity. In response, the University of the Pacific, in collaboration with partners from throughout the region, launched the Tomorrow Project.

At the heart of this ambitious new campaign to lift college-going rates in Stockton and the surrounding Central Valley are specialized academies that offer skills and resources to some of our region's most academically vulnerable children. The after-school, weekend and summer programs that comprise the Tomorrow Project build a network of sustained support to guide our young people toward high school graduation and to prepare them for enriched and enriching lives beyond.

"Our community's future hinges on improving the educational achievement of our youth, from the children of farm workers to the children of our wealthiest denizens." -President Pamela Eibeck
